Hi,
Any software that may block this kind of comment?
It would not be easy to monitor every comment on a site.
Thanks for tips.

Great posts here - ultimately it is all about conversion rates - and if you market something that gives off one perception that leads to totally irrelevant information - people won't go for it.

I wish more people would discuss this issue in the SEO community, glad to have come across your post.

I think this trend will only get worse.
The tools used to do this kind of blog spam are getting very complex. And there are sweatshops in India where thousands of people work to do this manually. Of coarse the manual route does sometimes create valid content that is not repeated but it is so shallow that it will dilute the good comments.
I believe the best route is adding no-follow. People should comment for the comments not the link power.

I agree with you. They ask us not to "trick" people into clicking on the ads when they are actually "tricking" us with their blending techniques. It's kind of a hard line to follow. I was actually flagged when I sent my new site out to my friends and family. My intentions weren't for them to click the ads so I'd make money but to get honest feedback from my material. It was like pulling teeth to get the band removed. Ever since then, my revenue from the program was significantly lower. I wonder if there's some correlation there?

Google algo change or not, I think it's crazy anyway paying a price for a company that's 32 times it's earnings. Unless of course it's a highly promising startup - which is not the case of Huffington Post. I'm 100% sure they will never make a penny from this purchase.

It is really a great move by Google. No one except Google bots reads the articles or posts on these content farms due to their low quality. By penalizing content farms Google will encourage and motivate those copywriters and content writers who believe in producing quality content for benefit of all. Thanks a lot for sharing the nice post.

I say too bad for all the plagiarists and content thieves! About time Google put some teeth behind all the chatter about "war on content farms"!

This is a big win for the good guys.

For those who lost? Easy >> Start creating, instead of scraping! hahaha

I think that the change had to come, sooner or later. Webmasters milking Google isn't really the right way to go about search. Instead of valuing content, Google was valuing the source. Isn't that the way article marketing works? : you write content and instead of posting on your website, you post on an "authority" site. The content and its quality is always the same, most likely it is better on your own website. However, you can do nothing because if you post it on your own site, it doesn't rank.

In a way, without this change, Google would soon become irrelevant or giving very poor results. Sites designed for SEO are not really what real readers want. From the point of view of Google, their survival depends on the search relevance. So yes, I think in a way the change was justified. And yes, the FB like does look tempting!
